We traveled to Shanghai to explore the current state of the soccer in China. We learned how the Chinese Super League is changing and the role of big money in Chinese soccer. Our week-long shoot was full of neon city lights, bustling streets, electric stadium atmospheres, and passionate fans.

In 2017, Shepley Bulfinch won the American College of Healthcare Architects's Legacy Award for their work on the new Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo Michigan. To accompany the award presentation at the PDC Summit, we created this short documentary on the impetus for the project, the building's impact, and Bronson's place in its community.

As part of a series on Issuu publishers, we produced this short bio on founder Mindy Abovitz to tell the history, direction, and essence of Tom Tom Mag. Mindy's drumming, a tour of her Brooklyn neighborhood, and a look at her home studio underscored the eclectic, home-grown nature of what has become a musical and cultural movement.
Making of Nuimo

German tech startup Senic brought us to Berlin to document the process of producing their very first smart home product, Nuimo— a smart home controller for connected devices. We captured the company's trajectory from raising half a million dollars via crowdfunding to the actual manufacturing of Nuimo. Traveling across Germany, we visited factories and interviewed members of the Senic team. Our video, Making of Nuimo, premiered at Senic's launch party in Berlin and was featured by various technology websites.

Groton's renovated and expanded Schoolhouse, which opened in the fall of 2015, has launched their iconic 1899 building—the heart of the School—into the 21st century. The Groton School commissioned us to tell the story of their historic Schoolhouse. We interviewed dozens of Groton students as well as several trustees and members of the school's faculty. The project captured the challenges of preserving the traditional look of the building while updating it for the next century of learning.

On a frigid January morning we joined a group of dedicated Boston surfers on a sunrise trip up the coast of MA and NH in what turned out to be some of the best conditions of the winter. The surreal and ritualistic nature of the dawn surf provided us with some stunning images and an unforgettable day.

Blues In the Boroughs

From the Bronx to Brooklyn, we set out provide a glimpse in to the everyday lives of the most passionate Chelsea supports in New York City. We created a one-of-a-kind photo series entitled ‘Blues in the Boroughs’, which featured prominently in Chelsea FC's 2015/16 kit launch. We also collaborated with Where Is Football and the award-winning and local collective Street Etiquette to stay true to the spirit of New York. As a result, the photo series received international acclaim that stretched as far as the club’s support.

The Reenactors is an intimate and personal look into the individuals and relationships that make up a small Civil War reenactment group from south-west Virginia. Shot during the 150th anniversary of the end of the Civil War, the documentary explores a community that ties its members intrinsically to the past while defining their present lives. It is a film about the crossroads of performance and identity, and a culture that has become home and family for many.
